Susan Johnson Witherspoon

Mrs. Susan Johnson Witherspoon, age 53, went to be with Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born October 29, 1965 in Transylvania County to Danny and Shirley Strickland Johnson.  Susan attended Elkin Valley Baptist Church. She loved her church, family, friends and especially children.

Survivors include: her loving husband, James Witherspoon; parents, Danny and Shirley Johnson; brother, Alan Johnson and his wife Laura; sisters, Jackie Hart and her husband Walt, Carol Hill and her husband Dwight; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Johnny Blevins, Rev. Stephen Robbins, and Mr. Eric Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
