Mr. Tommy Gray Hamby, II, age 42, of Traphill passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019. He was born September 9, 1976 in Surry County to Tommy Gray Hamby, Sr. and Erma Billings Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include; son, Edward Gray Hamby; brothers, Johnny Hamby and wife Lorraine, Jimmy Hamby and wife Lissa, Shelton Wood; sister, Anita Canter and husband Dennis; and longtime best friend, Troy Hall and wife Susan.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, February 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. James Hall officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
