Frank Dallas Transou

Mr. Frank Dallas Transou, age 89, of Elkin passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Frank was born October 8, 1929 in Surry County to Russell and Jettie Carter Transou.

Mr. Transou was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired with 40 years of service from the NC Department of Transportation.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Transou; sister-in-law, Rosemble Gentry; 3 brothers-in-law, Benny Jolley, Robert Jolley, and O.C. Jolley.

Survivors include: his wife, Georgia J. Transou of the home; daughters, Lori Wells and husband Donnie of Jonesville, Frankie Pardue of State Road; brother, Turner Transou and wife Christa Lee of Roaring River; sisters, Agnes Hayes of Elkin, Dorothy Bryant and husband Harold of Jonesville; sister-in-law, Velda Transou of Elkin; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds and Rev. Joe Wood officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 593 Pleasant Hill Dr., Elkin, NC  28621 or Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
