Johnny Linville Absher

Mr. Johnny Linville Absher, age 64, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019.  Mr. Absher was born February 21, 1954 in Wilkes County to Johnnie Everette and Annie Ruth Blevins Absher.

Mr. Absher was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jonesville and retired from Chatham Manufacturing.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Absher and William Absher, a sister, Joann Mahan and infant twins and an infant son.

Survivors include, his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Billings Absher of the home, two daughters, Christy Brown and husband Neil of Boonville, Joni Absher of DeBary, Fl.  A brother, David Absher of State Road, two sisters, Susan Bauguess and husband Larry of State Road, Grace Norman and husband David of Elkin, two grandchildren, Anna Kate Brown, Campbell Brown.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Roaring Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Richard Hackler officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to American Diabetes Association at 1300 Baxter Street Suite 150 Charlotte , North Carolina , 28204 or to the American Heart Association at 7029 Albert Pick Road, Suite 200, Greensboro, NC 27409 .
