Robert Alger Bowers

Mr. Robert “Buck” Alger Bowers was called to his heavenly home on January 3, 2019. Buck was born June 26, 1940 In Wilkes County to Glen and Lois Tucker Bowers.

Buck had great knowledge of the God’s Word and could readily recite scripture. He was a loving father, grandpa, and the love of Mary’s life.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Bob Bowers; brother, Fred Bowers; brother-in-law, TD Carter; and son-in-law, Rick McClamrock;.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 64 years, Mary McCloud Bowers; daughters, Toni McClamrock, Shari Billings and husband William; sisters, Nora Carter, Ruth Vanhoy and husband Luther; sister-in-law, Geraldine Bowers; 6 grandchildren, William Billings and wife Kimberly, Michael Billings and wife Jasmine, Ricky McClamrock, Heather McClamrock, Lynn Baker and husband Rex, Jennifer Diane Robida; 8 great grandchildren, William Billings, Matthew Billings, Isabella Billings, Michael Billings, Evelynn Billings, Bobby Bowers, Bonnie Robida, and Nellie McClamrock.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
