Fred Luffman

Mr. Fred Alvin Luffman, age 77, of Elkin passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his home. Fred was born September 1, 1941 in Wilkes County to Grady Faris and Maude Angeline Dula Luffman.

Mr. Luffman was a member of Grassy Creek United Methodist Church and retired supervisor from Louisiana Pacific.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Todd Luffman; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Survivors include: his wife, Judy Adams Luffman of the home; son, Rodney Dean Luffman of State Road; brothers, Dwayne Luffman of Roaring River, Arvil Luffman of State Road, Bill Luffman of State Road; sister, Alma Jean Pardue of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Christopher Brandon Luffman and Caleb Ryan Luffman.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Grassy Creek United Methodist Church with Rodney Luffman and Rev. Kenneth Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
