Mr. Max Grayson Gilliam, age 74, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare in Sparta. He was born December 2, 1943 in Surry County to Jackson Eugene and Flora Cockerham Gilliam.

Mr. Gilliam was retired from Lexington Furniture.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Tucker Gilliam; brothers, Wayne Gilliam and Tony Gilliam.

Survivors include: his sister, Betty Kallam and husband Jim of Norfolk, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date
