Zanna Cheek Combs

Mrs. Zanna Rose Cheek Combs, age 67, of Elkin passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born December 21, 1950 in Surry County to John Robert and Nina Hinson Cheek.

Mrs. Combs was a member of State Road Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her father Mrs. Combs was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her brother, John Robert Cheek, Jr. and his wife Lisa; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson.

Survivors include: her husband, Jimmy R. Combs of the home; mother, Nina H. Cheek; daughter, Charley Nicole Marshall; brother, Sammy Cheek and wife Debbie; sisters, Phyllis Johnson, Peggy Spicer and husband Stephen, Roberta Guyer and husband Gilvin, Camilla Simmons and husband Rick, Teresa Sparks and husband Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Elder Greg Simmons and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
