Dean Rose

Mr. Carl Dean Rose, age 62, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Batangas Gardens in Bermuda Run, NC.  Dean was born May 30, 1956 in Surry County to Jack E. and Bertie White Rose.

He was a member of West Yadkin Baptist Church and rededicated his life and service to Christ on October 14, 2018, which became the proudest moment of his life.

Dean was co-owner of Carl Rose & Son Inc. where he served as Vice President and Secretary. During his many years of paving he took pride in his workmanship.  He loved his employees and considered all of them his best friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 40 years, Debbie Jolley Rose.  He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Nathan Rose.

Survivors include: son, Kyle Rose; brother, Dale Rose and his wife Lynn; nephew Brian Rose; niece, Sarah Baldwin, her husband Matt, and their children Sydney and Campbell; niece, Amie Rose and her children Jaxon and Zayne; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Jolley; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Fall Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Odom and Rev. Matty Ponce-de-Leon officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3320 Fall Creek Church Road, Jonesville, NC 28642.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center, the staff of Batangas Gardens; Rita and Larry Wagoner and Darlene Hampton for the special love and care shown to Dean.
