Harold Thomas Long

Mr. Harold Thomas Long, age 82, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Elkin Assisted Living.  He was born March 19, 1936 in Yadkin County to Hubert and Sadie Mendenhall Long.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fletcher “Doc” Long.

Survivors include: Sons, Bobby H. Long of Hamptonville and Mitchell T. Long and his wife Verona of State Road; grandchildren, Casey T. Long, Ashley Long and John Nixon and his wife Kayla, and great granddaughter, Addison Nixon.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church in Hamptonville with Rev. Rawley “Dink” Haynes, Jr. and Rev. Ray Hawks officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
