Linda Johnson Eads

Mrs. Linda Johnson Eads, age 72, of Thurmond passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 in her residence. She was born July 17, 1946 in Guilford County to James and Bessie Owens Johnson.

Mrs. Eads was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a special lady that was always giving and caring for others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Eads; son, Shannon Eads; daughter, Sandra Eads; sister, Carolyn Johnson; and brother, Stevie Johnson.

Survivors include; sons, Ricky Johnson of Thurmond, Eric Eads of Thurmond; daughters, Glenda May of Hickory, Karen Holsclaw of Ronda, Sharon Berninger and husband Tony of Browns Summit, Catherine Teague and husband Jason of Ronda; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Jeremy Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

The family would like to personally thank Dr. Vatca and her staff and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care given to our mom.
