Jerry Johnson Snow

July 1, 1942 — October 15, 2018

Mr. Jerry J. Snow, age 76, of Elkin passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Snow was born July 1, 1942 in Surry County to William Virgil and Ora Johnson Snow.

Mr. Snow attended Cross Roads Baptist Church and retired Director of Public Works for Surry County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Snow Collins; three half-sisters, Virginia Kerley, Juanita Holst, and Jessie Elder.

Survivors include: his wife Carol E. Snow of the home; son, Jeff Snow and wife Wendy of Mt. Airy; daughters, Rhonda Hiatt and husband Steve of Mt. Airy, Shannon Durham and husband Rodney of Elkin; brothers, Billy Snow and wife Carol of Dobson, Jimmy Snow and wife Shirley of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Kendra Wise and Cary, Matthew Snow and wife Tori (Vicki), Daniel Durham, and Chloe Snow.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Wall officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church Youth Fund, 1035 Crossroad Church Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
