Warner Roby Golds

Mr. Warner Roby Golds, age 83, of Elkin left this earthly home to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, October 15, 2018. Mr. Golds was born March 29, 1935 in Ashe County to Elbert and Lella Greene Golds.

Warner was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Deep Gap, NC and attended Center Baptist Church in Elkin He was a timber cutter, logger, truck driver, and beef cattle farmer. He enjoyed playing gospel music with his son, Mike and the “Couch Family”.

In addition to his parents, Warner was preceded in death by his wife Gaye W. Golds and son, James Warner Golds.

Surviving are his son, Michael Golds and wife Libby of Elkin; several nieces and nephews all of Deep Gap, NC.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Center Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Gilreath, Rev. Sherril Welborn, and Rev. Larry Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
