Patricia Ann Hemric

Mrs. Patricia Ann Hemric, age 55, of State Road passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Surry County as the result of an automobile accident.  Mrs. Hemric was born July 31, 1963 in Wilkes County to Jesse and Etta Mae Byrd Wood.

Mrs. Hemric was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She was a member of Elkin Valley Baptist Church and employee of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was a special lady with a joyful, giving, and caring spirit. She was a hard worker and always had a smile on her face.

Mrs. Hemric was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Hemric of the home; daughter, Brianna Hemric of Charlotte; father, Jesse Wood of Roaring River; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Anna Hemric of Ronda; sister, Debra Moody and husband Clyde of State Road; brothers, Phil Caudill and wife Vickie Walker of North Wilkesboro, Larry Caudill and wife DeeDee of Boomer; brothers-in-law, Brian Hemric and wife Renee, Steven Hemric and wife Lori; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Hurd and husband Roger, Charity Hemric, Faith Hemric, Hope Hemric, Josiah Hemric, Joshua Hemric, Garrett Hemric, Caleb Hemric; great nieces, Ava Hurd and Stella Hurd.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Valley Baptist Church Christian Life Center with Dr. Johnny Blevins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Elkin Funeral Service.
