Grace Adams

Mrs. Grace Colbert Adams, age 90, of Traphill passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born July 30, 1928 in Wilkes County to Dallas Bruce and Nancy Wilson Colbert.

She was a member of Knobbs Baptist Church and retired from Sunbeam. She was a homemaker and co-operator of Harold’s Nursery.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Adams; daughter, Betty Jo Adams; brothers, Raymond Colbert, Sam Colbert, Fred Colbert, Hugh Colbert, Bill Colbert; sisters, Louise Tilley and Carol Gentry.

Survivors include:  her son, David Adams and wife Linda of Traphill, daughter, Sylvia Wingler and husband Daniel of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Knobbs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Gilreath officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
