Frankie Cheek

Mr. Frankie Cheek, age 69, of Elkin passed away Saturday, September 29, 2019 in his home. He was born January 26, 1949 in Forsyth County to George and Gladys Holcomb Cheek.

Mr. Cheek was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and Elkin VFW Post 7794. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded by his parents.

Survivors include: his wife, Donna Sloop Cheek of the home; son, Dustin Cheek and wife Lyndsey of Ronda, daughter Kelli Torgerson and husband Erik of Cary; sister Frances Phillips of Hamptonville; five grandchildren, Tyler Cheek, Gracee Cheek, Adlee Cheek, Connor Tripp, and Vance Torgerson.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Fugate and Mr. Danny Royal officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
