Ethan Grant Mclean

Ethan Grant McLean, age 20, of Elkin passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was born February 24, 1998 in Surry County to Russell Mclean, Jr and Cindy Duncan Shaw.

Ethan was a graduate of Elkin High School, class of 2016 and attended Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington. He attended Community Fellowship Church in Elkin and LifePoint Community Church in Wilmington. Ethan was an avid golfer and an employee of Lowes Corporate in Wilkesboro.

Ethan was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Duncan Shaw.

Survivors include: his father, Rusty McLean of North Wilkesboro; grandmothers, Cathy Canaday of Elkin, Reva McLean of North Wilkesboro; brothers, Tyler Minton and wife April of Wilkesboro; Colin McLean of Elkin, Brett McLean of Charlotte; aunt, Michelle Marsh and husband Tim of Sanford; cousins, Stephanie Lane, Nichole Calise and husband Kyle, Lathan Lane and wife Karacin, and Shane Marsh.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Michael Osborne, Rev. Shonnie Thompson, and Mr. Lathan Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Knobbs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
