Mr. Joey Lee Shores, age 57, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his residence.  Mr. Shores was born November 27, 1960 in Surry County to Roy Lee Shores and Patricia Martin.

Mr. Shores was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church and was employed by Tampco.

Mr. Shores was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: sons, Jacob Michael Shores and Elijah Lee Shores; sisters, Amy Southern;  Mendy Peles and husband Jim; niece, Sidney McMillian; and nephews, Lucas McMillian, Dustin Shores, Zack Hardy and Tanner Hardy.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington First Baptist Church with Rev. Matty Ponce-de-Leon officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
