Timothy Wilska

Brother Tim Wilska, age 48, of Roaring River passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in his home. He was born February 12, 1970 in Caldwell County.

Brother Tim was a member of New Light Baptist Church. He attended Cool Springs Baptist Church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and other area churches when he was able.

Brother Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Kinyoun; maternal grandparents Rev. Robert and Mary Curtis; paternal grandparents, E.J. Durham, Sr. and Dossie Wiles Durham; and uncle, Johnny Curtis.

Survivors include: parents, Linda & Hayden Durham of Roaring River; sisters, Lisa Cortez and husband Manuel of Elkin, Donna Holcomb and husband Jon of Ronda, Sarah Call and husband Samuel of Wilkesboro; several nieces and nephews; special niece and caregiver Olivia Cortez; extended family; and friends and drivers at Friendship Speedway.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, August 19, 2018 at New Light Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kent Wood, Rev. David Key, and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Brother Tim will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Durham Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Light House of Lenoir, 222 Elizabeth Street, Lenoir, NC 28645, in memory of Brother Tim Wilska.
