Marie Horn

Mrs. Marie Anderson Horn, age 91, of East Bend passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at Southfork Senior Living Center in Winston-Salem. She was born June 8, 1927 in Alleghany County to Burt and Verti Adams Anderson.

Mrs. Horn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother and extended that same love to each and every person. She attended Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Horn; three sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include: children, Shirley Minton and husband Bill of East Bend; Larry Horn and fiancé Ann Massey of Lewisville, Bill Horn and wife Ginger of Madison; six grandchildren, Terry Minton Ross, Julie Minton Doub, Marty Minton, Jennifer Cayetano, Elizabeth Jakubowski, Joyner Horn; 12 great grandchildren, Brianne Burke, David Phillips, Ryan Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Isabel Doub, Isaac Doub, Layken Doub, Will Minton, Sadie Minton, Hannah Farmer, Ayveril Cayetano, Sonny Ray; 4 great-great grandchildren, Kinsley Phillips, Oaklyn Phillips, Cali Phillips, and Noah Phillips.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Old Richmond Evangelical Methodist Church in Tobaccoville. Burial will follow in East Bend Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00- 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
