Martha Benge Adams

Martha Benge Adams, age 82, of Jonesville passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Wilkes County April 10, 1936 to William Bascom and Bessie Harris Benge.

Mrs. Adams was a member of Knobbs Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Adams; son, James David Adams; daughter, Donna Sue Adams; seven brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include: daughters, Margie Collins and husband Harvey of State Road, Lynn Bauguess and husband Danny of Statesville; son, Chris Gentry and wife Tina of Greenville, SC; brother, Jimmy Benge and wife Wanda of Ronda; sister, Pauline Noah and husband Johnny of King; eight grandchildren, Angie Spicer and husband Daniel, Sonya Boone and husband Ryan, Kecia Mastin and husband Tyler, Stephanie Bauguess, Cory Taylor, Breana Gentry, Brady Gentry, Josh Morton; great grandchildren, Tiffani York, Dakota York, Trenton Mastin, Lindsey Mastin, and Liam Boone.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Danny Bauguess and Pastor Brian Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in Billings Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
