Marie S. Robinson

Mrs. Marie Simmons Robinson, age 93, of Yadkinville passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Yadkin Nursing Center. She was born on April 6, 1925 in Yadkin County to Dewey and Lula Luffman Simmons.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick F. Robinson, Jr; son, Jerry Robinson; brother, Grady Simmons; and sister, Dorothy Pitts.

Survivors include: son, Butch Robinson and wife Linda; daughter-in-law, Louise Robinson; brother, Johnny Simmons; sisters, Naomi Thompson, and Inez Fuquay; grandchildren, Lance Robinson, Nyle Robinson, Harry Goble, and Mary Ann Alexander; great grandchildren, Chandler Robinson, Ethan Robinson, Emilee Robinson, Bronte Robinson, and Declan Alexander.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tommy Fuquay officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
