David Hudspeth

Mr. David Hugh Hudspeth, age 78, of State Road passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Woltz Hospice Home. He was born on November 18, 1939 in Surry County to Clyde Taylor and Violet Maude Piercy Hudspeth.

Mr. Hudspeth enjoyed helping family and friends, woodworking, playing golf, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a Veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Hudspeth Jr.

Mr. Hudspeth is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Carter Hudspeth of the home; son, Micheal Hudspeth and wife Melanie of State Road; daughter Lisa Hudspeth Edwards and husband Todd of State Road; brother Bobby Hudspeth and wife Janie of State Road; three grandchildren, Hugh Hudspeth, Haley Edwards, and Alana Edwards.

The services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
