Terry L. Julian

Mr. Terry Lynn Julian of Dobson passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 peacefully at his home on the mountain in Devotion, NC, following a long illness. Terry was born March 20, 1942 in Avery County, North Carolina to Adrian and Ruby Julian of Elk Park, NC.
In addition to his parents Terry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Rebecca Sides Julian.

He was a graduate of Cranberry High School and East Tennessee State. Terry was a devout Christian who cherished his church and his fellowship with his Lord. He was devoted to his family, and especially his two daughters Cathy and Gina and their children, Michael, Mary, Megan, Christina, Ashlyn, Amber, and Trey and his son Anthony who lives in Vermont. Terry loved life and enjoyed his mountain home, his cars, especially his restored Camaros, his Christmas tree friends from B&T Trees, music, getting together with friends and family and many other interests that caught his fancy during his well lived and loved life. He touched many people through his 76 years of his adventure of life…we celebrate that now as we grieve the emptiness left in ours.

He leaves behind his sister Glenda Rensi and husband Ray, his brothers Fred Julian and wife Kaye,  Adrian Julian Jr.,  a sister Frieda Briggs and husband Craig, and two sister-in-law’s Dorothy Reynolds and Barbara Barron. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of friends whom he loved.  He will be truly missed.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Charity Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Brian Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00- 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
