Travis Donald Thompson

Mr. Travis Donald Thompson, age 50, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at High Point Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Thompson was born October 28, 1967 in Surry County to James “Jim” H. and Judith Baker Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Desert Storm.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his step-mother, Wanda Hinson Thompson.

Survivors include: his son, Carson James White; brothers, Todd Thompson and wife Denna, Tim Thompson and wife Catherine and Toby Thompson; sister, Ann Marion and husband Donald; uncle, Buddy Baker; nephews, T.J. Thompson,Cole Marion, Jake Thompson and wife Laura and Aaron Haynes; great nephews, Hunter Plowman, Gunner Marion and Jaron Haynes and great niece, Charley Thompson.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:0 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jason Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
