Susan Tulbert Poplin

Mrs. Susan Tulbert Poplin, age 61, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018.  Mrs. Poplin was born August 20, 1956 in Surry County to Raymond Tulbert and Vermell Byrd Tulbert.

Mrs. Poplin was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was employed at North Elkin Tire for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poplin was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Poplin; brother, Rodney Tulbert and nephew, Richard Tulbert.

Survivors include: her daughter, Carey Lowe and husband Lon of Dobson; grandchildren, Adam Rose, Cole Lowe and wife Charity, Casey Wilmoth and husband Lucas, Emily Lowe and Noah Lowe; nine great-grandchildren; and niece, Mary Ellen Tulbert of San Diego, California

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Fowler and Rev. J.V. Lowe officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
