John Arnold Reed

Mr. John Arnold Reed, age 59, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018.  Mr. Reed was born August 6, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona to Elmo Reed and Martha Nichols Reed.

Mr. Reed was a self-employed HVAC contractor and was a member of Traphill Masonic Lodge #483 where he served as master three times.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his brother, Larry James Reed.

Survivors include: his wife, Tammy B. Reed of the home; sons, Terry Hall and wife Kristen of Clarksville, TN and Nicholas Hall of the home; daughters, Amy Baker and husband Shaun of Biloxi, Mississippi and Dani Rose of New York; brothers, Butch Reed, Jeff Reed and Bruce Reed; sisters, Pam Pennell and husband Gary, Patty Reed, Teresa Stamper and husband Terry and Tina Reed; and grandchildren, William Baker, Samantha Baker, Bryson Hall and Braiden Hall.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Paul Siceloff officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bowers Family Cemetery with full Masonic Rites.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Traphill Masonic Lodge, 11834 Austin-Traphill Road, Traphill, NC 28685 or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
