Annie Johnson

December 9, 1926 — March 1, 2018

Mrs. Annie Sue Johnson, age 91, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at her residence.  Mrs. Johnson was born December 9, 1926 in Wilkes County to Charlie and Lessie Harris Soots.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Soots, Joe Henry Soots, Max Soots, George Soots and Ralph Soots and sisters, Maxine Roberts, Grace Barker, Tilda Holbrook and Ruby Minton.

Survivors include: her husband, Johnny Johnson of the home; sons, Joe Johnson and wife Gail of Elkin, Johnny Johnson of Roaring River, Charles Johnson of Ronda and Dale Johnson of Ronda; daughters, Jennifer Brown and husband Steve of Ronda, Lois Johnson of Ronda and Katherine Johnson of Ronda; grandchildren, Sammy Bullard, Jeremy Bullard, Benny Bullard, Kelly Doster, Jason Bullard, David Johnson, Chris Johnson and Julia Mathis; and 15 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Allen Barker and Rev. Ted Combs officiating.  Burial will follow in Ronda Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 – 2 at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care shown to Mrs. Johnson during her illness.
