Mrs. Wilma Lou Funk, age 84 passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Chatham Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Funk was born January 12, 1934 in Carrol County, Virginia to Garnett B. and Dora Jennings Lineberry.
Mrs. Funk was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and she retired from Perry’s Manufacturing Textile.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Funk was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Funk; brother, Jim Lineberry; son-in-law, Eddie Anderson and step-brother, Joe Bill Ring.
Survivors include: daughters, Suzanne Anderson of Jonesville and Tammy Meadows and husband Danny of State Road; brother, Richard Lineberry and wife Mary Lee of Elkin; sister, Irene Jennings of High Point; step-sisters, Betty Jean Williams of Galax and Gaynell Dillon of Galax; grandchildren, Sunshine Gilliam and husband Gene, Amber Wagner and husband Thomas and Jason Penley and wife Amy; great-grandchildren, Haleigh Penley and Hunter Penley; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jason Penley and Rev. Kenny Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
