William Gratsie Kidd, Ii

William Gratsie Kidd II “William G”, age 13, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018.  William G was born March 4, 2004 in Surry County to Maria De’Neane Kidd.

William G attended New Grace Baptist Church and Friendship Baptist Church.  He loved his horses, riding four wheelers, playing in dirt and water and Kentucky Fried Chicken.  He loved attending Elkin Middle School and his friends and teachers. William G enjoyed growing plants and entering them in the fair.  William G also was an honorary member of C-FAC and the Autism Society of North Carolina.

William G was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Gratsie Kidd and Inez Caudle Kidd.

Survivors include: mother, Maria De’Neane Kidd of the home; special adopted dad, Billy Watson of Taylorsville; aunt, Greta Hinson of Elkin; several adopted grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Dale Cave, Mrs. Pendry, Mrs. Attaway and Mrs. Edmisten officiating.  Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
