Larry Eads

Due to weather and road conditions the funeral services for Mr. Eads will be postponed until Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2pm.

Mr. Larry Brent Eads, age 69, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Westwood Hills in Wilkesboro.  Mr. Eads was born January 23, 1948 in Surry County to Baze and Hattie Holyfield Eads.

Mr. Eads retired from Wayne Farms after 37 years.

Mr. Eads was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: wife, Linda Eads of Thurmond; sons, Ricky Johnson of Thurmond and Eric Eads of Thurmond; daughters, Glenda May of Hickory, Karen Holsclaw of Ronda, Sharon Berninger and husband Tony of Browns Summit and Catherine Teague and husband Jason of Ronda; brother, Tex Eads of Dobson; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Jeremy Simpson officiating.  Burial will follow in Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Westwood Hills for the love and care given to Larry during his time there.
