Henry Blevins

September 20, 1943 — January 13, 2018

Mr. Henry Blevins, age 74, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 after an extended illness.  He was born September 20, 1943 in Wilkes County to Sanford and Cora Cleary Blevins.  Mr. Blevins retired from Chatham Manufacturing after 42 years of service and was a member of Traphill Baptist Church where he served as a long time Deacon.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Cecil Blevins and Banner Blevins and sisters, Dorothy Green, Merle Watson, Alice Shawn and Shirley Holsclaw.

Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Bauguess Blevins of the home; daughter, Sharon Blevins of Traphill; brother, Kelly Blevins of Traphill; grandchildren, Adam Scott of Asheville and Marena Scott Lopez and her husband Raul of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Traphill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Caldwell and Rev. Bobby Trott officiating.  Burial will follow in Traphill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Traphill Baptist Church, 11858 Austin-Traphill Road, Traphill, NC 28685.
