Shirley Mae Harris

Mrs. Shirley Mae Harris, age 82, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.  Mrs. Harris was born May 10, 1935 in Wilkes County to David and Ina Jane Pruitt Stewart.

Mrs. Harris was a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle and retired from Candle Corporation.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Donald Harris; sons, Kenny Carl Harris, Wayne Harris and Marty Harris and sister, Mable Cothren.

Survivors include: sons, David Shumate (Mary) of Ronda, Randy Harris (Debbie) of Roaring River; daughter-in-law, Lynn Harris; sisters, Lillie Ward (Johnny) of Clingman, Betty Cothren (Junior) of Ronda; grandchildren, Chad Harris (Brandy), Kimberly Harris, David Johnson, Jenny Harris and Chris Johnson; great grandchildren, Caden and Rylan.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ronda Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Josh Blevins and Rev. Bud Wishon officiating.  Burial will follow in Ronda Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
