Dorinda M Wilson

Mrs. Dorinda Marcella Wilson, age 76 passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.  Mrs. Wilson was born February 9, 1941 in Nottingham County, England to Gerald Joseph and Rose Huggins Farmer.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House and Botanical Gardens.  She was also a member of Auxiliary of Gideon’s International.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dale Wilson; brother, Fred Farmer and sister, Ann Farmer.

Survivors include: son, Da Neil Wilson of Texas; daughters, Denise Walsh and husband Jeff of Elkin, Dawn Mitaj and husband Moisi of Elkin and Michele Garrison of Arkansas; nephew, Adrian Farmer and family; grandchildren, Natasha Foster, Neil Wilson, Arren Muskett, Brad Walsh, Shelby Bailey, Ashley Daher, Lindsey McLain, Keisi Mitaj, Dea Mitaj, Maegan Jaynes, Chase Pope, Carter Garrison and Kaelin Garrison; 22 great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mitch Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date at Jones Cemetery in Amity, Arkansas.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Youth Fund, 1997 Pleasant Ridge Road, State Road, NC 28676.
