Gloria Garcia

Mrs. Gloria Garcia, age 41, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.  Gloria was born April 17, 1976 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Pedro Barrientos Juarez and Elia Don Flores Barrientos.

Mrs. Garcia was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Elkin.

Survivors include: husband, Alejandro Garcia-Valez of the home; mother, Elia Don Flores of Yadkinville; sons, Alex Garcia, Landon Garcia and Lucas Garcia all of the home; step-daughter, Ashley Garcia of Virginia; brothers, Rene Barrientos and wife Angelica; Gustavo Barrientos and wife Esmeralda, Pedro Barrientos and wife Raquel, Jesus Barrientos and wife Sally, Jose Barrientos and wife Alma and Ruben Barrientos and wife Mary Elena; sisters, Anna Barrientos and husband Juan, Elia Martinez and husband Luis, Veronica Barrientos and husband Jose Luis and Belem Vargas and husband Jesus; grandchild, Addison Barnwell; and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. with Father John Hanic and Sister Janis McQuade, SSJ officiating.
