Joanna Lynn Simons

Mrs. Joanna Lynn Simons, age 43, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 8, 2017 at her residence.  Joanna was born July 22, 1974 in Surry County.

Joanna was of the Baptist faith and a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend.

Survivors include: husband, Dustin Simons of the home; mother, Lynn Hutson and husband Allen of Boonville; sister, Christie Benge Cook of N. Wilkesboro; step-brother, Marty Allen Hutson of Yadkinville; nephews, Marty Allan Benge, Michael Allen Cook and Cameron Ray Cook; great niece, Ciara Renee Benge; great nephews, Levi Chase Wood, Caden Hunt and Brayden Allen Benge; beloved pets, Tweety and little man; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Caudill and Rev. Danny Royal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
