Mrs. Debra “Debbie” Jolley Rose, age 60, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following an automobile accident. Debbie was born December 9, 1956 in Surry County to Benny M. Jolley and Betty Jo Durham Jolley.
Debbie was an outstanding wife, mother and caretaker. She was a member of West Yadkin Baptist Church, an active community volunteer and a past volunteer at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Debbie was a past employee of Holcomb Brothers and Carl Rose and Sons Paving.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Benny M. Jolley and nephew, Nathan Rose.
Survivors include: her husband, Dean Rose of the home; son, Kyle Rose of Seattle, WA; mother, Betty Jo Jolley of Elkin; and cousin, Vicky Adams and husband Donnie of Stokesdale; brother-in-law, Dale Rose and wife Lynn, their children and grandchildren and many loving cousins and relatives.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Gardens Columbarium with Rev. Richard Odom officiating. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, 180 Parkwood Drive, Elkin, NC 28621; Brenner Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157; or Elkin Rescue Squad, 940 North Bridge St., Elkin, NC 28621.
The family would like to thank the first responders of Yadkin County, Jonesville Police Department, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for their care.
