Curtis Teague

Mr. Curtis Franklin Teague, age 77, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Chatham Nursing and Rehab.  Mr. Teague was born July 31, 1940 in Surry County to Esma Bryce Teague, Sr. and Juanita Luffman Teague.

Mr. Teague was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Teague was preceded in death by two brothers, Esma Bryce Teague, Jr. and Michael Lee Teague.

Survivors include: his wife, Jerry M. Teague of the home; son, Perry Wayne Teague and wife Gloria of Germany; daughters, Pat Eaton and husband Ken of State Road and Tracy Carter and husband Kevin of Elkin; sister, Carol Macemore and husband Ralph of Jonesville; and five grandchildren, Bethany Eaton, Cory Eaton, Rebecca Teague, Kelsey Teague and Tyler Eaton.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. John Attaway officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Chatham Nursing Activities Department 700 Johnson Ridge Road, Elkin, NC 28621.
