Luther Lee Key

Mr. Luther Lee Key, age 70, passed away, Sunday, September, 3, 2017.  Mr. Key was born August 15, 1947 in Surry County to Arlie and Frances Tharpe Key.

Mr. Key was of the Baptist faith and was the owner of Tobacco Road. He had an outgoing personality and was a people person, as well as, a proud grandfather of three.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Key was preceded in death by his, brother, Bob Key.

Survivors include: daughter, Rachel Bentley of Roaring River; grandchildren, Erin Perry, Jazlyn Bentley, and Ethan Childress; special friend, Christy Adams; brothers, Joe Key and wife Kim, Bill Key and wife Ann, Dennis Key and wife Rada, and David Key and wife Dana; sisters, Mary Hurt and husband Bill and Kay Luffman and husband Gerald; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church.
