Pamela Walker

Ms. Pamela “Pam” Lynn Walker, age 56, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Pam was born September 20, 1960 in Wilkes County to Steve Walker and Judy Bauguess Walker Dupree.

Pam graduated from West Forsyth High School and earned an Early Childhood Education Degree from Wilkes Community College.  Pam was employed with Broc Head Start Lomax Center in Roaring River prior to her declining health.

Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Nancy Walker, and Ivan Bauguess and Fay Harris; Danny Ray Royal; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors include: her daughter, Faye Lynn Royal; father, Steve Walker and wife Janice; mother, Judy Dupree; brothers, Chris Walker and wife Lisa and Michael Walker and wife Cynthia ; nephews, Samuel Walker; half-brother, Eddie Dupree and wife Heather and son, Noah; step-sister, Jennifer Hart and husband Russell and their children, Caleb and Alston.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Old Roaring River Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Hart officiating.  The family requests casual attire and no food.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Avante of Wilkesboro, Wilkes Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for their love and care for Pam during her illness.
