Turk Teague

Mr. Burtle Lewis “Turk” Teague, age 80, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017.  Mr. Teague was born March 25, 1937 in Surry County to James Howard and Madalyne Cussick Teague.

Mr. Teague was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Teague was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Cockerham Teague; two sisters, Zelma Simmons and Jenny Parks; three brothers, Don Teague, Dan Teague, and Charles Teague.

Survivors include: four sisters, Joanne Waddell and husband Bill of Morganton, Irma Slice and husband Robert of West Columbia, SC, Nelda Spicer and husband Earl of Yadkinville, and Lois Steelman and husband Joey of Clemmons.

A graveside service for Mr. Teague will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Gum Orchard Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Pardue officiating.
