Bobbye Branscome Simmons

Mrs. Bobbye Jean Branscome Simmons, age 76, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born October 30, 1940  in Welch, West Virginia to Wade and Verda Hamm Branscome.

Mrs. Simmons graduated Mountain Park High School in 1958. She was skilled in the art of crocheting afghans and arugami animals.  She was so loved by her family who will carry her with them every day.

Survivors include: her husband, W.J. “Tink” Simmons of the home; son, David Simmons of State Road; daughter, Cathy Macemore of Troutman; grandchildren, Christopher Macemore (Mandi Shermer), Amber Price (Mike Price) and Laura Macemore; great grandchildren, Mikie Beulin and Parker Price; sister, Nancy Ann Branscome Simmons; special nieces, Debbie Shelton, Sharon Shoupe and Annette Blackburn and numerous other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
