Stacy Gentry Colbert

Ms. Stacy Elizabeth Gentry Colbert, age 39, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Ms. Colbert was born July 12, 1977 in Mecklenburg County to James Paul and Janice Wood Gentry.

Ms. Colbert was a dental hygienist and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Ms. Colbert was preceded in death by her father, Paul Gentry.

Survivors include: her mother, Janice Wood Gentry of State Road; two sons, John Gentry Colbert of State Road, Mason Dillard Colbert of State Road; her daughter, Addison Rae Gentry of State Road; three brothers, James Michael Gentry and wife Wendy of Lincolnton, Joel Alan Brown and wife Naomi of Hutto, TX; Christopher Stephen Gentry and wife Kristie of State Road; three sisters, Martha Gentry of Carolina Beach; Connie Austin of State Road; Maria Corriher and husband Eddie of Mt. Ulla, NC; two nephews, James Stephen Gentry, Dylan Christopher Gentry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Mitch Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family will appreciate flowers or memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the love and care shown toward Stacy during her illness by the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Dr. Kinsley.
