Edith Donna Gentry

Mrs. Edith Donna Maines Gentry, age 77, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017.  Mrs. Gentry was born September 17, 1939 in Surry County to Glenn and Edith Brooks Maines.

Mrs. Gentry was a member of Charity United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Mack A. Gentry and sister, Phyllis Carter.

Survivors include: two sons, Tracy Gentry of Elkin; Jason Gentry and wife Kelly of Hamptonville; her daughter, Erin Shore and husband Andy of Hamptonville; two brothers, Roger Maines of State Road, Jerry Maines of Elkin; four grandchildren, Matthew Gentry, Eli Shore, Cole Shore, and Paige Gentry.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Charity United Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Cranfill and Rev. Mark Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
