Shirley Caudle Mccoin

Mrs. Shirley Caudle McCoin, age 82, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017.  Mrs. McCoin was born May 13, 1935 to Albert Lee and Necie Baldwin Caudle.

Mrs. McCoin retired from Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a member of Friendship Community Senior Group.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George McCoin, three brothers, Herbert Caudle, Benny Caudle, Barney Caudle, two sisters, Jackie Long, Sarah Caudle.

Survivors include, a son, Tim McCoin and wife Tammy of Elkin, a daughter, Brenda Combs and husband Jeff of Cana, VA, four grandchildren, Mitch McCoin and wife Shannon, Matt Childress, Haley Sullivan and husband William, Hannah Winebarger and husband Harley, two step-grandchildren, Shawn Combs and wife Emily, Tracy Midkiff and husband Mitch, six great grandchildren, Declan McCoin, Teagan McCoin, Lily Sullivan, Liam Sullivan, Hunter Winebarger, Hayden Winebarger, six step-great grandchildren, Morgan Midkiff, Mitchell Midkiff, Klyne Midkiff, Lily Midkiff, Blake Combs and Talon Combs, a sister, Melba Lauver and husband Hank of Garner, sisters-in-law, Frankie Caudle-Philley and Betty Caudle, a brother-in-law, Wayne Hyatt.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Fugate and Rev. Jonah Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chris Norman and the staff of Yadkin Valley Home Health for the love and care given to Mrs. McCoin.
