David L. Sparks

Mr. David Lee Sparks, age 75, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017.  Mr. Sparks was born August 17, 1941 in Yadkin County to Marvin Wade and Lula Eller Sparks.

Mr. Sparks was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from RJ Reynolds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Wade Sparks.

Survivors include: his wife, Gail Sparks of the home; brothers, Ted Sparks and wife Nancy of Brooks Crossroads, Tony Sparks and wife Peggy of Hamptonville, and Ronnie Sparks and wife Mildred of Elkin; Sister in law, Helen Sparks of Winston Salem; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.  A graveside service will immediately follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.  Serving as pallbearers will be, Billy Sparks, Ted Sparks, Jr., Craig White, Richard Sparks, Scott Sparks, Sandy Sparks, and Russell Sparks.
