Zeb Witherspoon

Mr. Zeb Witherspoon, Jr. age 86, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home.  Mr. Witherspoon was born on April 16, 1931 in Ashe County to Zeb V. and Doris Sanders Witherspoon, Sr.

Mr. Witherspoon was a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Witherspoon was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lee Hodges and Alma Grace Paulson; and his brother, Kenneth Witherspoon.

Survivors include: three step children, Cheryl, Cathy, and Byron; sister, Christine Jordan and husband Leonard of West Jefferson; one niece, ten nephews; several cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ricky Baldwin and Rev. Richard Hackler officiating.  Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family will accept flowers or memorials to be made to Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
