Dorothy M. Felts

Mrs. Dorothy M. Felts, age 85, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Chatham Nursing and Rehab in Elkin.  Mrs. Felts was born August 21, 1931 in Surry County to Rufus and Ivy Hurt Felts.  She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and retired from Belk Department Store.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Gilbert Felts and Arthur Felts and sisters, Margie Mathis and Louise Knight.

She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Sam Knight and Rev. Rex Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
