Brenda Swaim Watson

Mrs. Brenda Swaim Watson, age 70, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mrs. Watson was born August 10, 1946 in Surry County to Harold Everette and Kathleen Hayes Swaim.

Mrs. Watson was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for forty-five years, and taught the 1st and 2nd grade Sunday school class for over forty years.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Swaim and Donnie Swaim.

Survivors include, her husband, Donald Watson of the home, two sons, Joseph Craige Watson and wife Theresa Prosser Watson of Troutman, Christian Shane Watson and wife Holly of Elkin, a daughter, Michelle Watson Couch and husband Joe of Elkin, a sister, Linda Dodson of Greenville, SC, three grandchildren, Robin Watson, Matthew Watson, Laura Zi-Ling Couch.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds, Shane Watson, and Rev. Joe Wood officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service.
