Jannes Reece Bradley

Mrs. Jannes Reece Bradley, age 78, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Bradley was born September 2, 1938 in Yadkin County to Joe Henry and Bessie Smith Reece. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved traveling and the summer season.  Mrs. Bradley retired from Wilkes County School system and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was an active Sunday School member and VBS worker, a volunteer with Wilkes County Schools and the Lunch Buddy program.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 half-brothers and one half-sister.

Survivors include: her husband, Elbert James “Jim” Bradley of the home; son, James David Bradley and his wife Donna of Raleigh; daughter, Julia Bradley Macemore and her husband Curtis of Maiden; brother, Tommy Reece and his wife Jewel of Boonville; sister, Bertha R. Lewis and her husband Phillip “Buck” of Clingman; brother-in-law, Steve Day and his wife Libby of Elkin; grandchildren, Hannah Dianne Bradley, Jordan Elizabeth Macemore and James Winfield Macemore; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
